Frank Schleck takes stage 17 but Alberto Contador stays in yellow
Frank Schleck of Luxemburg has won the 17th stage of the Tour de France.
Spain's Alberto Contador the 2007 Tour de France champion finished second in the stage and retained the overall leader's yellow jersey while Frank's brother Andy made it a family affair on the podeum by coming in third.
Overall standings feature Contador leading Andy Schleck by 2minutes 26seconds with brother Frank 3min 25sec behind.
Lance Armstrong dropped to fourth 3min 55sec behind Contador, his Astana team-mate.

After three tough days in the Alps the race gets back on to flatter terrain today and for Britain's Bradley Wiggins the 40km time trial around Annecy lake on Thursday's 18th stage will feel more like what he's used to. As a triple Olympic gold medallist in track cycling's pursuit event he is poised to move up the standings and put pressure on the leaders.
The Annecy time trial will be crucial in determining the tactics and levels of motivation of the main contenders. Flat for the first 26 kilometres the 40km race against the clock should allow Wiggins to demonstrate his skills. .
