Manly Sea Eagles - Michael Bani a five-eighth?
April 9th 2008 23:43
Winger Michael Bani might just be the answer to the Sea Eagles five-eighth riddle, but the talented Queenslander isn’t planning on rushing into the position.
Bani has been one of the most involved players in the NRL this season, making 60 runs in four games to rank 15th overall in runs made.
His eagerness to get his hands on the ball demonstrates his desire to be constantly involved in the game, but Bani is happy to keep developing his game on the wing – for now.

Menzies has filled the roll well, but he is a much better lock. Actually I'm sure he could play in the number 7 and still play well - he is a freak.
Bani played all his junior football at half or fullback and has shown a determination to get involved...
He is quick, a strong ball carrier and the Eagles could do a lot worse...
But he admitted he wasn't looking to move there until atleast a year of experience in the NRL...
Would be a good experiement for 20mins anyways...
