Man UTD sign 9-Year-Old from Australia - Watch his amazing talent!

August 2nd 2007 05:30
9-year-old Wonder Kid
Meet Rhain Davis, an average looking nine-year-old kid from Brisbane with extraordinary talent. The pintsized youth is living out an incredible dream after being invited to join one of the most famous clubs in all of football. Apparently he now considers superstars such as Christian Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney to be his friends, good-luck to him!

Rhain was selected to join the Manchester United Academy after his grandad sent a DVD to talent scouts showcasing his protégée’s amazing talent. The Old Trafford faithful could not ignore the potential and were quick to snap-up the youngster. Davis now has three years to prove himself and earn a scholarship, competing against the best juniors from all over the lands.

But with amazing talent such as this, the dream could become a reality and it might not be long before we see his name written on the back of the famous red jersey. Of course there is a long way to go, and there is no way of telling how he will develop physically and psychologically, but at the moment he is just a kid living out every boy’s fantasy.

What do you think of kids this young making the move overseas to persue sporting dreams? Is there to much pressure on our youth, or are they simply having the time of their lives?

Good luck to him but it is pretty scary recruiting kids this young into a Sport only environment, but I guess its no different to child stars not having a childhood....then again look at how most of them end up.....I guess as long as his entourage helps him stay normal and he gets to hang with kids his own age no harm......

Some people are just born knowing what they're supposed to do, like this little tacker. I guess there are plenty of kids who have become famous for whatever reason at a young age (actors, sports) and there are different outcomes for all of them. Some are handling it just fine, while others turn out bratty, stupid, and too rich for their own good.

Just like the rest of us, it all depends on the support of those around them, and to make sure they still have their feet on the ground throughout their rise to fame.

I wish him luck!

Yeah, Manchester have a history of recruiting good young talent. There are similar videos of a young David Beckham who was snapped up by United. If Rhain Davis can have half the career that Becks has had he will be one of 'our' best exports.

Surprise, Surprise, England are claiming him as their own, considering he has an English Passport...

Hopefully he will remember his Aussie roots and wear the green and gold one day...
