September 19, 2006: Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs players Reni Maitua and Roy Asotasi have been cleared by a knee specialist to play this Friday night against the Broncos.
Bulldogs coach Steve Folkes said, “Reni and Roy will be named in the 17-man team for this week. Roy will have a fitness test on Thursday to confirm his inclusion.”
Asotasi commented, “Getting the nod from the specialist is one hurdle I’ve cleared. It’s now up to the club doctor and the coach to determine if I’m right to play.”
Maitua commented, “It was good news from the specialist and I’m looking forward to running out on Friday night.”
