December 8th 2006 07:42
The West Australian reports that Damien Martyn has announced his retirement from all international and domestic cricket effective immediately. Martyn dropped the bombshell today just six days before the 3rd test in his hometown. He said he no longer felt committed to the game and said "I feel therefore, it's time for me to move aside."
Martyn played 67 Tests for Australia from 1992, scoring 4,406 runs and 13 centuries.
