Bulldogs Injury Update
August 21st 2006 04:56
August 21, 2006: Bulldogs Medical Officer Dr Hugh Hazard has made the following comments regarding players injured last weekend.
“Willie Tonga has had a medial ligament reconstruction today. He will not play again this season.
“MRI scans on the injured left knee of Roy Asotasi have revealed an incomplete tear of the medial ligament. We will brace his leg for 4 to 5 weeks. If the Bulldogs were to make the Grand Final then he may be available to play again this season.
“Nate Myles is progressing well after sustaining a knock to his leg and is a strong chance of playing this Friday. (I personally saw Nate out on Saturday night on the dance floor and on the piss until about 2am so if he doesn't play it'll be an absolute disgrace)
“The latest prognosis for Dallas McIlwain after he sustained a shoulder injury last Friday is that he is a 50/50 proposition for this week against the Sea Eagles.”
