AFL: Serious concerns for Ricciuto

AFL club Adelaide says its captain MARK RICCIUTO could have Ross River Fever or one of a multitude of other illnesses.

The club says it simply doesn't know what's wrong with RICCIUTO, amid rumours the Brownlow medallist has contracted the debilitating Ross River Fever.

A Crows spokesman says results from further blood tests on RICCIUTO are expected to be known tomorrow.

Ross River Fever is a rare mosquito-carried virus which has previously struck down Australian golfer PETER LONARD, who didn't play for about 18 months after contracting the illness in the 1990s.

Oops,just realised you already said that in your post.Anyways its a big loss for the Crows, who have already been severely depleted with injuries. Sure they will be thanking their lucky stars that they have the double chance. Be interesting to see how big an impact they have on the finals after such a dominant start to the year. This cadet thinks they will bow out in straight sets
