AFL: Crows Injury Update
August 29th 2006 00:55
Adelaide's faltering AFL premiership campaign has been dealt severe blows with stars ANDREW MCLEOD and BEN HART unlikely to play again this season.
And Crows captain MARK RICCIUTO won't play again until the finals, while forward TRENT HENTSCHEL will miss at least 12 months with a serious knee injury.
The damage to the key Adelaide quartet was confirmed by Crows football operations manager JOHN REID today.
REID said MCLEOD will have surgery later today on an infected left foot and will miss up to four weeks, while HART'S achilles tendon strain will sideline him for at least a month.
RICCIUTO, who missed yesterday's loss to Port Adelaide, will have further tests this week to ascertain the exact nature of his virus.
